Understanding the importance of your comfort and convenience, we’ve created this landing page with suggestions for places that we think would be the best choices for your stay, travel options and other advice we think you will find valuable. The options for accommodation include small towns, cities and coast towns.
Once you make a choice of where you would like to stay and how you would like to travel, please consult us so that we can give you any additional advice or information that you might need.
For those unable to join us, don’t worry, we will host a special lunch in Belgrade, date yet to be confirmed.

Lecce is over 2,000 years old and is nicknamed ‘The Florence of the South’ for its rich Baroque architecture. It is famous for buildings & sculptures made of particular kind of limestone called ‘Lecce stone’, olive oil
& wine production.
This place is perfect for those who love to be around other people, enjoy their time at restaurants, do sightseeings & shopping.
Lecce has one of the oldest Roman amphitheaters & is home to italian delight called pasticciotti.

Porto Cesareo is a town well known for beaches with a sandy bottom that remains low for tens of meters and transparent waters. It is under protection of a National Marine Park for its natural wealth.
Torre Lapillo is a part of Porto Cesareo municipality and has its own beaches which are equally beautiful.
These places are perfect for those who travel with kids, love seafood, love to be in the walking distance
of the beach & enjoy beautiful sunsets.

SALICE SALENTINO

Salice Salentino is a small town founded in the end of the 14th century.
It is a center of production for Salice Salentino wine and owes its name to the willow trees that once used to grow and populate its muddy, clay soil.
This place is perfect for those who love peaceful evenings, don’t enjoy busy streets & love the relaxing environment of a small town.

There are plenty of other places that you can look into that are in 15-60 min proximity of the venue.
Some of those places are Brindisi, Gallipoli, Santa Maria de Leuca, Santa Caterina, Campi Salentina, Veglie, Torre dell Orso, Castro, Otranto & more.

TRAVEL BY PLANE
The most convenient travel by plane is via Bari airport. The airport is large, modern, very well connected and will probably have many convenient options for you. For family and friends coming from Belgrade, flight to Bari is a regular line which has many direct flights every week.
If you choose Bari, you will need to rent a car and drive to Lecce for roughly hour and a half.
Alternative option is Brindisi. This airport is a local airport which has many direct flights from Milano and Rome. It might not have a direct flight from your country, but the drive to Lecce will be shorter, only 45 min.
If you need help, we are happy to assist and organize the ride from the airport to your accommodation.
TRAVEL BY CAR
Whether you decide to stay in Lecce or in a small town, you must have a car to function properly. If you decide to travel by car, you will eventually end up on the E45 highway which leads to Bari, no matter where you come from. From there you will take an easy road via superstrada directly to Lecce province.
For people coming from Belgrade, there are three possible routes by car. First route includes going via ferry line Igoumenitsa-Brindisi which roughly takes ~17,5 hours for the whole trip to Lecce. The second route includes going via ferry line Valona-Brindisi which is the fastest option of ~15.5 hours for the whole trip.
The third route is a trip by car directly to Lecce. This is a long trip of ~18.5 hours which shouldn’t be completed in one go. If you decide to take it, please tell us so we can give you further advice.
RENT A CAR
If you travel by plane, we highly advise you to rent a car.
It will make your stay in Southern Italy much more convenient and pleasurable. You will be able to visit more places and it will be easier to connect with everyone.
For those who decide to stay in smaller towns, especially the ones that are not on the coast, having a car is a must. The public transport is not rich enough in volume to provide enough options for people to be able to access the city of Lecce, the coastline, do shopping, go to restaurants or do sightseeings that easily.
Don’t worry, we will take care of your transport on the wedding day so that you can enjoy your time.
TRAVEL ESTIMATES
We understand that traveling to another country for a wedding is not an easy task. Thank you for considering to join us in celebrating our love and one of the most important days of our lives.
In order to help you plan your trip out, we made the travel estimates based on our own research.
The below tables will include rough estimates of costs for travel, accomodation & food for two people for four days and a week for both travel options (plane & car). The plane tickets take Belgrade as a starting point of travel. Some prices are subject to change if booking is made closer to the wedding date.
